Rome is the ballad on the album. In this song, Seizer is reminiscing and wondering if he made a mistake by breaking up with her. He's beginning to regret his decision and just can't get her out of his head.
lyrics
I spent all night sitting in my room
Old vinyl records playin'
Nothing else to distract me from my mind
And thinkin' bout the night we met
I miss your smile and I long to hear your voice
I listened to the messages you left me...
long ago, I'm filled with such regret
And wish I could go back in time
Rome wasn't built in a day
And if I had it my way, you'd take me back
And we'd start from scratch
Baby, baby, you drive me crazy
Why can't I just move on?
Cuz every night I'm dying inside
And nothing seems to numb my pain
Rome wasn't built in a day
And if I had it my way, you'd take me back
And we'd start from scratch
Who am I kidding? I know it wouldn't last
Delaying the inevitable heartbreak
I built up Rome just to watch it as it burns
But in the end, I'm burning too.
